The details

Privacy policy.

What Amino collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Last updated · September 18, 2026

Amino is operated by Nur Hersi in the United States. This policy explains how information is collected, used and shared when you use the Amino app, aminotracker.com and our download links. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@aminotracker.com.

1. Information we collect

Account and profile information. This includes your email address, account identifier, display name and preferences. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the authentication information that provider supplies. You may also provide age, gender, height, timezone and measurement preferences.

Records you add. Depending on the features you use, Amino stores protocols and schedules, user-entered doses, compound and vial inventory, reconstitution records, injection sites, side effects, bloodwork, weight, food, water and protein entries. Notes, progress photos, captions and uploaded reports may contain personal or health information.

Support and feedback. We receive information you include when you contact us. In-app feedback includes your account identifier, feedback category, message, app version/build and submission time.

Technical and usage information. We receive information about app and website activity, such as pages or screens visited, actions taken, timestamps, device or browser details, technical identifiers and error information. This information helps us understand how Amino is used and investigate problems.

We also collect limited recordings of activity within parts of the app to understand problems. These recordings can include personal and health information visible on screen and can be linked to your account. Sign-in and onboarding screens are excluded.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate your account, save and display your records, synchronize supported information, provide tracking tools and reminders, manage subscription access, process features you request and respond to support enquiries. We also use analytics and diagnostics to understand how Amino is used and investigate problems, and attribution information to measure how people find Amino.

Account records and progress photos are stored using cloud services. Photos are displayed using temporary access links. Information stored in your Amino account is therefore not limited to your device.

3. Apple Health and device permissions

If you connect Apple Health, Amino requests access to selected information, including steps, weight, heart rate, resting heart rate, active energy, sleep, blood pressure and workouts. Amino also requests permission to write weight entries. The information available depends on the permissions you grant and the records on your device.

Supported Apple Health information can be synchronized to your Amino account, including sleep, steps, activity energy, heart-rate and workout records, along with dates and source information. Available Apple Health measurements may also be included when you request AI insights, as explained below.

You can manage Apple Health, camera, photo and notification permissions in your device settings. Revoking a permission limits future access; it does not automatically delete information already saved to Amino. Optional Face ID or Touch ID access uses your device’s authentication system.

4. AI features

When you use an AI feature, Amino sends information through its backend to the provider that processes the request:

  • Chat and insights — Anthropic. Your question, conversation context and a snapshot of relevant records. This can include recent doses, side effects, bloodwork, active protocols and available Apple Health measurements. The request is not limited to the text you type into chat.
  • Lab-report parsing, where available — Anthropic. A report image or PDF you select is processed to extract results for your review. Reports can contain personal details printed on the document.
  • Meal-photo scanning — Google Gemini. The photo you select or capture and any accompanying description, to estimate the foods and nutritional values shown.

You choose whether to use these features. Supported records can also be entered manually. Avoid including information that is unnecessary for the request.

AI processing does not mean information is deleted immediately after a response. Providers may retain information under their service terms, including for security or legal purposes. See Anthropic’s commercial data-retention information and Google’s Gemini API data terms.

5. Purchases and advertising measurement

Apple processes purchases made through the App Store. RevenueCat helps Amino manage subscription status and access. Purchase and entitlement information is associated with an account or installation identifier.

Amino includes Apple Search Ads and Meta attribution integrations to measure advertising performance. The app supplies RevenueCat with device and attribution identifiers, including a Meta-generated identifier. These integrations can associate install or purchase-related events with advertising activity.

Access to Apple’s advertising identifier depends on your App Tracking Transparency permission. Other identifiers and attribution methods may operate without that identifier, so declining tracking does not turn off every form of analytics or attribution. You can manage the app’s tracking permission in your device settings.

6. How information is shared

We use third-party providers for account authentication, cloud hosting and storage, analytics and diagnostics, subscription management, AI processing, food and nutrition lookup, and advertising measurement. These providers process information for the functions described in this policy.

The information a provider receives depends on its role and the feature you use. This can include account details, records or files needed to process your request, technical and usage information, and purchase or attribution information. Food search terms and barcodes are sent through Amino’s backend to external lookup services to retrieve matching results.

Some providers also handle information under their own terms and privacy notices, such as your separate account with Apple or Google. The AI section above identifies the providers that process AI requests.

Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and provide an opportunity to delete your account before such a transfer takes effect.

7. Website and download links

Website hosting providers receive technical request information needed to deliver pages, such as an IP address and browser information. Our download page measures visits, download-button activity, redirect attempts and fallback-help displays. These events can include browser identifiers, timestamps, page and referrer information, and a creator tag included in the link.

The download page can store a creator tag in your browser’s local storage. Analytics services may also use browser storage or cookies to recognize activity. You can manage cookies and stored website data through your browser settings. Clearing browser data does not delete information already received by a service.

We do not record browsing sessions on the download page. Website visits and download-button activity do not, by themselves, establish that someone installed Amino or purchased a subscription.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain information as needed to provide Amino and carry out the purposes described in this policy. You can delete your account in the app or request deletion by emailing privacy@aminotracker.com.

When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Deleting an Amino account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account. Apple explains how to cancel a subscription.

9. Your information and choices

You can edit supported records in Amino and manage device permissions in Settings. The app provides a JSON export of supported record categories and a CSV export of dose logs. These exports do not currently contain every category of information associated with an account; contact us if you need information beyond the available exports.

Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. California residents may also have rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information and the use of sensitive information, where applicable.

To make a request, email privacy@aminotracker.com and describe what you need. We may ask for information to locate your account and verify that the request is yours. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Please do not include unnecessary health information in your initial message.

10. Security and international processing

Amino uses encrypted connections, authenticated account access and backend access controls. Progress photos are displayed using temporary signed links. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure.

Amino operates from the United States. The services described in this policy may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy laws can differ between countries. Contact us for information about how your information is handled.

11. Children

Amino is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@aminotracker.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy and, if changes are material, provide notice through the app or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
